Methodology
How we review telehealth providers
This is the methodology behind every provider record and comparison on this site. It is deliberately narrow: we evaluate what a consumer can verify and act on, and we say so plainly when we cannot assess something.
What we evaluate
- Service availability: which services a provider actually offers.
- Pricing transparency: whether costs are published clearly and completely.
- Accessibility: how easy it is to understand and complete registration.
- Consultation model: message, phone or video, and how that is disclosed.
- Service breadth: the range of needs a provider says it can address.
- Ongoing-care options: whether continuing access is offered and how it is structured.
- Customer support information: which support channels are documented.
- Subscription structure: whether a recurring fee is required and what it includes.
- Cancellation transparency: how clearly cancellation terms are stated.
- Geographic availability: which states a provider says it serves.
What we do not evaluate
We do not assess clinical quality, clinician credentials in aggregate, diagnostic accuracy or patient outcomes. Making those claims responsibly requires evidence and expertise we do not currently have, so we do not make them.
We also do not publish star ratings, aggregate customer review scores, or testimonials, and we do not claim to have completed consultations with providers unless we state explicitly that we have.
How we verify information
- We record where each fact came from and link to sources where appropriate.
- Every provider record carries an internal verification state: verified, needs verification, or unknown.
- Fields we have not verified are left blank and hidden from the page rather than estimated.
- Each provider page shows the date we last reviewed the record.
How compensation is handled
We may earn compensation when you use certain links on this site. Compensation may influence which providers are commercially available to us — a provider we have no relationship with may not be linkable — but it does not purchase a rating, a placement or a favourable description.
We present providers as available options rather than ranked winners unless we have a published comparison with verified data on every side.
Corrections
If you are a provider or a reader and something here is inaccurate or out of date, contact us and we will review it. Corrections are made to the record and the last-reviewed date is updated.
